Aeronautica Imperialis is Forge World's game of aerial combat in the 41st millenium. The game is set in the Warhammer 40k universe, as Forge World is a subsidiary of Games Workshop. At this time, six different squadrons have been produced.
The game is played in three dimensions, thanks to altitude dials on the base of the ships. Players secretly select movement cards that determine the direction of travel of their planes. They then take turns moving one of their aircraft. This gives the game a much different flavor than Games Workshop's other offerings. The miniatures are in 10mm scale, and can also be used in games of Epic Armegeddon. They are cast in resin and are highly detailed. |
