The classic comic Archie, and its spin offs, Archie and Friends, Betty, Betty and Veronica, and Jughead and Friends have had many toys produced over the years. In 1975 Marx produced a set of 9" Archies figures and outfits. Although these were the first, they best captured the flavor of the comic.
Mattel produced a set of 8" Archies figures in 1977. They were less detailed than the Marx versions. In 2000 Playing Mantis produced 12" Betty and Veronica Dolls. In 2005 Mattel released Barbie as Veronica and Barbie as Betty dolls. |
