The first super ball was produced by Wham-O in 1965. It was made of a specially formulated rubber called Zectron. This material gave the ball its amazing resiliance. The super ball was an overnight success. Kids all across the country were bouncing them off walls and over houses. Today super balls are everywhere. Wham-O still makes a reproduction of the original.
