Lord of the Rings Strategy Battle Game Warriors of Dunland
Dunlanders were the original inhabitants of of the plains of Calenardhon.
However, they were driven from their homeland long ago by the Rohirrim.
For centuries they have sought revenge against the men of Rohan, and now with the help of Sauron, their time is at hand.
About the Army
Much of the Dunland army is yet to be produced, which is a shame as the current models are outstanding.
Dunland even lacks an armybook.
However, rules for Dunlending Cheifs and Warriors can be found in the Two Towers journey book.
It also contains updated points costs.
The stats for the Wild Men are found in the One Rule Book.
In its current state the army lacks elite troops, cavalry, and siege engines.
Dunlending Chieftain are very much like Orc Captains, but are more courageous and cost more points.
They have the option of taking a shield, which really helps their survivability.
Alternatively they can have a two-handed weapon, or a bow.
Wild Man Chieftain are very much like Orc Captains, but are less well armored and are more courageous.
They have the option of taking two-handed weapons.
Dunlending Warriors are similar to orcs, but are more courageous and better shots.
They lack the option of taking spears, but can be outfitted with full range bows, shields, or two-handed weapons.
Wild Man of Dunland are less expensive than Dunlending Warriors, but are not as well armored.
They can be upgraded with two-handed weapons.
