Background
The sons of Durin are the greatest of the dwarven clans. They have built mighty empires and fought back the forces of darkness time and time again. However, as the sun rises on the age of man, it is setting on the Dwarven age.

About the Army
Durin's Folk is the weakest of the three Dwarf armies. However, it is able to ally with more forces than the other lists. They are usually selected as allies because of their high armor value. For this reason Dwarf Warriors with Shields are usually the troops of choice. Durin's Folk also offers the high strength Khazad Guard. However, they lack effective shooting, spear support, and cavalry.

The Troops
Dwarf Kings are hard to kill. Make sure that you give them throwing axes. Some unscrupulous players take several of these great characters.

The next best thing to a Dwarf King is a Dwarf Captain. Give him a shield and throwing axes. With the exception of his fight value, he performs as well as the King.

Dwarf Warriors should be given shields. I never give them two handed weapons or dwarf bows. If you want two handed weapons you are better off taking Khazad Guard, and if you want bows, you are better of taking Dwarf Rangers with longbows.

Khazad Guard are the heavy hitters of the forces of good. They have good fight, better than average strength, and the potential to use a two handed weapon. Best of all, they have good armor, so they are less likely to die if they lose a fight.

The Dwarven Ballista is a poor man's Avenger Bolt Thrower. It can kill tough targets at range, but it does not have the multiple shots of the Avenger. It often misses its mark, or only kills a lowly goblin.
