Master Caster was made by Mattel in 1979. It was their second car molding toy, the first being the Hot Wheels Factory. Unlike its predecessor, you could actually watch the car as it was molded, as the top of the caster is transparent. First you would insert the wax into the top of the machine and slide it into the cauldron. Then you would put the mold into the slot in the front. After the wax melted, you would turn a dial which would pick up the mold and move it under the caudron. The caulrdon would then tip over and fill the mold with wax. Quite simply one of the coolest toys ever. |
