Robotech: RoboLinks were sold in the States by Revell in 1985. They were based on Takara's Blockman building toys. As their English and Japanese names suggest, the sets are built by linking robots together. These bots were made from metal and plastic and were strongly influenced by Transformers and ZOIDS. Despite being marketed as Robotech, these toys were largely overlooked. They were quickly discounted and sold for a couple of bucks a piece.
