Ronin Warriors Archive
Yoroiden Samurai Troopers first aired in Japan in 1988. It was finally brought to the states in 1995 as Ronin Warriors. It was shown both in local syndication, as well as on the Cartoon Network and Sci Fi Channel. A total of 39 episodes and 3 movies were produced. The Ronin Warriors toys were released by Playmates in 1995. They were rereleased by Re:Play in 2001. The RE:Play versions were of lower quality, nearly all the figures had Ryo's head under their helmets, and fewer figures were actually released. However, the rerelease line did include redecos of both Ryo and Talpa packaged with horse toys, the horse molds having originally been Zoro molds.
Enter a dark time in which all of mankind is in the clutches of the evil forces of the Dynasty. The once great city of Megapolis has already been conquered by the wicked Shogun masters, leaders of the Dynasty. Fighting this dark tide are a band of five warriors shrouded by the Circle of Light. Ancient Samurai Masters imbue them with the virtues of light, life force, trust, justice, and wisdom. Can these mighty warriors defeat the Dynasty and save mankind?
