Z Knights were first released by Tomy to the Japanese market in the early 90s. As with many Japanese series, it has been difficult to get an accurate checklist and names. A small number of Z Knights were released in the US around the same time as Techno Zoids. They were sold as "The Ultimate Computer Battle Systems" American checklist
